Local Wisdom

Wherever you live, in every nation that you wander, there is always unique phenomenon that you find. The fact is the the uniqueness is always different from one phenomenon to another. That unique phenomenons are created by certain activity, traditional knoledge, the certain history, wisdom, good values, et cetera. Those are implemented by people who live in a certain region or nation, and have become their habits that characterizes their life. When the habits tend to contain wise values, it’s called “local wisdom”. Perhaps, the words seem familiar but do we really know about local wisdom?
I am not so sure that I do really know about that. I’ve found those words here and there, in magazines, journals, et cetera. I tried to find some references to know the excact meaning, fotunately I found the meaning here in my own country, Indonesia. I found local wisdom in the way people live here, in the way people interact each other, in the way the way they treat nature, in the way people put the colours into their cultures, and in the way they accommodate their life.
Then why do we tend to integrate outter culture into inside?
