One day in a beautiful countryside, a girl and her sickly grandmother lived in an old hut in a village. The girl was named ,Sarah; when she was still a baby Sarah was found by her grandmother named Suminten by the river. Suminten's grandmother, who was alone after the deaths of her husband, daughter, and granddaughter, felt that Sarah's presence was a blessing for her, and a solace for her loneliness. Grandmother Suminten cared for Sarah like her own granddaughter and always tried to make Sarah happy.
When Sarah was 17 years old, Suminten's elderly grandmother became sickly, and it was Sarah who took care of her. One day Sarah went to the rice fields to help her neighbor harvest rice, while Sarah was cutting the rice a large green grasshopper perched on her shoulder. Arriving there, Sarah was surprised to see her grandmother lying stiff. "GRANDMAA!!!", Sarah screamed while crying, she continued to check the grandmother's pulse and breathing but it was gone, she then hugged her grandmother and cried, 'grandmother..hiks..hiks, grandmother wake up!', Sarah continued to cry and scream hysterically. Then there was a banging on the door from outside, it turned out to be the villagers who were surprised by Sarah's screams, when they entered they were shocked by the condition of Suminten's grandmother who was already dead.
"innallillahi wainna ilaihi roji'un", the villagers mourned because Suminten's grandmother was a good person. One of the villagers hugged Sarah to calm her down and the others were asked to take care of her. It was supposed to be a happy day for Sarah because she would get money from helping harvest rice and be able to take her grandmother for treatment, but instead it became a day of sadness for her. It turned out that the swarm of grasshoppers was a messenger asking sarah to go home and see her grandmother for the last time.
