Mobile-based Tajwid 1 Learning Media at the Gontor Entrance Guidance Institution with the Demonstration Method

The reviewed journal is entitled "Mobile-based Tajwid 1 Learning Media at the Gontor Entrance Guidance Institution with the Demonstration Method" by Muhammad Sirajuddin Mumtaz Dzaky, Dihin Muriyatmoko, and Taufiqurrahman. This research was published in Procedia of Engineering and Life Science, volume 1, number 1, in March 2021. The main objective of this research is to develop a mobile application that facilitates prospective santri in learning Tajweed 1 in preparation for the Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) entrance exam.

This research adopts the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method and uses the demonstration method for the content. Application testing was conducted using the blackbox method and tested on five smartphones with various brands and screen sizes. The test results show that this application runs well. The assessment from learning media experts gave an average score of 94.38%, while six Tajweed teachers gave a score of 88.40%. The conclusion of this study is that this application is effective as a Tajweed learning tool

This research offers an innovative solution to overcome the limitations of Tajweed learning media that still rely on printed books, by using a demonstration method that mimics the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Through the SDLC approach, this research demonstrates clear and systematic stages of application development, as well as showing the compatibility and reliability of the application on various devices. The main theme of this journal is innovation in education through technology, enabling easier and interactive access to learning materials. The writing of this journal is formal and technical with a clear academic structure, paying attention to methodological details and application validity through comprehensive testing, and showing concern for end-user needs and religious values.

In my opinion, this research is very relevant and useful, especially for prospective santri who want to prepare for the PMDG entrance exam. The app not only eases access to learning materials, but also increases interest in learning through the use of more modern and interactive technology. The high scores given by Tajweed experts and teachers indicate that the app is well received and considered effective as a learning aid.

I suggest that this research be published more widely so that it can be adopted by other educational institutions that need efficient Tajweed learning media. In addition, the developer may consider adding other interactive features, such as practice questions and automatic evaluation, to increase the effectiveness of learning. Further research can also be conducted to evaluate the impact of using this application on the learning outcomes of students in the long term
