Purwokerto, Banyumas - Who doesn't know rames rice? Rames rice is a typical Central Javanese food that probably existed since the Dutch colonial era in Indonesia. Rames rice in the form of a delicious dish that is synonymous with various side dishes, of course, is familiar to the people of Indonesia, especially in Central Java.

During Ramadan, many vendors of heavy food to snacks / takjil at Pasar Pereng are open from afternoon to night. Bu Budi is one of the many food vendors in Pasar Pereng Purwokerto, she sells various kinds of vegetables to side dishes that are certainly delicious and cheap. Bu Budi sells food such as opor ayam kampung, pecel, urap and many others. With a price of Rp.5000, buyers can bring vegetables home to break their fast, and the side dishes are priced starting from Rp.8000 only, very affordable isn't it!

Pratisha Harsa Culinary & SME Center or commonly referred to as Pasar Pereng is located in Purwokerto, Jl. Jenderal Sudirman No.296 west of Alun Alun Purwokerto. Pereng Market has 2 floors, namely the ground floor for food or culinary sellers and the upper floor there are shops that sell various home needs to personal needs such as clothes etc. To enter Pasar Pereng just pay parking worth two thousand rupiah (Rp.2000,-) only.

In Pasar Pereng, it is not only for takeout, but can eat on the spot because seats and tables are provided for visitors to eat on the spot. Many visitors eat on the spot while waiting for the Maghreb adhan during this Ramadan, so it is very suitable as a place to break the fast together or just to killing time before Maghreb (ngabuburit) looking for side dishes or vegetables to break the fast at home if at home there is no food to break the fast. Visitors at Pereng Market are varied, ranging from small children to the elderly or elderly also come to visit this Pereng Market.

So, Pereng Market can be used as a culinary tourism destination during the fasting month in the Purwokerto area with many other interesting foods and of course the price is pocket-friendly.
