Trauma healing is the most common psychological disorder suffered by children and communities due to natural disasters. Trauma occurs because there is no willingness to face the event. Therefore, traumatized children need healing help, which literally means healing.

According to Arthur S. River and Emily River in Penguin Dictionary of Psychology, Third Edition, trauma healing addresses whatever caused the trauma. Trauma healing can be done on people who have experienced relatively minor injuries or trauma. Some people use trauma healing as a type of mental disorder treatment to help with the healing process. Therefore, trauma healing is a treatment for mental disorders that occur in a person due to poor management of their mental functions.

According to child and family psychologist Ratih Zulhaqqi, trauma healing aims to prevent post-traumatic syndrome (PTSD). PTSD is post-traumatic stress disorder. Healing trauma in children tends to be very difficult, says Rati, because children often have difficulty
talking about their problems like adults. She says play is a great way for children to recover from trauma."(While playing) they don't feel treated and don't feel like they are in a tense situation." Besides, my friends can't always bring up the topic (of the earthquake).

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychological disorder caused by frightening events such as accidents, wars, and natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, etc.). The impact of trauma itself can range from mild to severe. Feeling anxious and very anxious constantly, imagining catastrophic events and nightmares that cause sleep disturbances, the physical state of the sufferer becomes alert when remembering or thinking about the trauma they suffered. These mental symptoms should not be allowed to continue.Victims must be helped through trauma healing to recover psychologically from their traumatic experience. PTSD disorder appears in survivors after one month, while trauma disorders that appear in less than a month are known as acute stress disorder (ASD). ASD victims usually only need psychosocial support to recover from their traumatic disorder.

Play Therapy was chosen to heal trauma in affected children because play is a natural medium through which children can express themselves and allow them to return to a world of joy and happiness. Play Therapy involves playing various fun games for the child, as well as activities that stimulate the child's creativity, such as drawing and singing.

The results of our data analysis study show that Play Therapy plays a very important role in children's trauma healing activities. This activity allows the child to temporarily forget the tragic event that happened to them. Because play allows children to immerse themselves in a bright and happy world. Trauma healing through Play Therapy methods. This method is used so that children do not feel that they are undergoing medical treatment. Data-based Play Therapy post-disaster traumatized children experience life-disrupting events. Their personalities also change depending on the trauma experienced. Therefore, when we encounter children affected by natural disasters, we must make various efforts to prevent such trauma.

Among them are:

1. Minimize media exposure to disaster and incident reporting.

2. Stay away from places where scary things often happen.

3. We must show concern and empathy for the condition of the victims by providing support.

4. Donate food, clothing, and shelter.
