Light is A Particle, No It's A Wave

Light... the second most confusing thing in the world, next to the brain. Sir Isaac Newton stated that light was a particle, he proved this by putting a needle under his eye and wiggling it around  just like this.  

But, Christian Huygens, a Dutch physicist stated that light was a wave, like sound. The experiment that proved that light was a wave is putting a piece of paper with one rectangular hole in it then putting another piece of paper with two holes in it forcing the light to go through, it looked like this,  but this only appeared if you weren't looking directly at the screen, if you did you would only see two rectangular figures. The conclusion is: light is a particle if you look, but it's a wave if you don't look.

 

One of the other properties of light are, it takes a while to travel, for instance, light from the sun needs eight minutes to travel to earth or you, so, we see the sun how it was eight minutes ago that also works for stuff even further away from earth, like galaxies millions, even billions of years away from earth. So, if we look at a galaxy 13-14 billion years away, we are seeing it how it was 13-14 billion years away, so, the further we see the older the galaxies are to us.

 

And that is why light takes 2nd position in my list of things humans still don't understand, and also light is made out of photons that travel at the speed of light to reach our eyes and planet, the color black also absorbs light and heat, making it not fitting on a sunny day, but white on the other hand, reflects light and heat, making it great for sunny days. That also explains why vanilla ice cream doesn't melt as quick as chocolate, and it's also why Arabians wear white clothes.

Can you also believe that night is the natural state of the universe, while day is caused by a huge fireball that gives us light, and moonlight is also just sunlight reflected by the surface of the moon. Light... SOOO amazing, very confusing and cool at the same time, that's why I like light, is it a wave, or particle, we might never know...
