The life of a projector lamp is usually between 2500 and 4000 hours, but in some instances consumers have reported the lights only live a few hundred hours. With the replacement of the lamp and the price is enough to drain the budget, the short life of a lamp can be very costly. Buyers should be careful to get and make sure their lights burning brightly as long as possible. Below are some ways to maintain the theater lamps, to be durable:

1. Keep the projector is stationary when possible. In a fragile filament lamp would be extremely vulnerable to damage when it is hot, to avoid the accumulation of the device in the vicinity of the projector, especially when the engine is hot.

2. Keep hands off the lights. Bare hands will leave oils on the surface, so the oil can be burned into the surface of the lamp and cause cracks. Use a tissue or soft cloth when removing / replacing the lamp wise.

3. Turn the lights off right.

4. Make sure the light goes off about 5 minutes before turning off the projector. This allows the fan to cool the projector.

5. Because the power switch on and off can stress filaments due to a sudden increase in voltage, it is wise to avoid change and turn off the antenna during a short break in viewing. Use the function "soft start" can be useful if the projector is.

6. On the other hand, auto standby feature can be useful to ensure that the lights are accidentally left alive.

7. Keep it clean and cool. The projector must be placed to ensure they are not near a heat source and have adequate ventilation. Let no one blocking the air intake or exhaust vents. Filters should be cleaned every 3-6 months and changed according to manufacturer guidelines to ensure good air flow and to keep the dust from the lamp.

Just as the light source, the projector lamp will eventually be damaged and need replacement. However, with proper usage and maintenance and continuous projector lamp will help to survive longer.
