On December 16, 2024, Fablab Edu UPI was visited by lecturers from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). This visit originated from the collaboration that USM wishes to establish with UPI through a double degree program. After that, the USM lecturers visited the Chemistry laboratories at JICA and discussed Small Scale Chemistry before visiting Fablab Edu UPI. They were introduced to the facilities provided by Fablab Edu, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and UV printers. These machines have the potential to design and create engaging and interactive learning media, which also makes Fablab Edu a potential partner for USM in developing educational media.
During the visit of the USM lecturers, chemistry students were working on projects at Fablab Edu. This project focuses on the development of educational media and games created by the machines available at Fablab. The students were enthusiastic about the questions posed by the USM lecturers during the visit; they proudly explained the learning media and games they were working on. The visit concluded with a group photo session at the FPMIPA C building, at the Fablab Edu UPI board.
