I was so glad to learn with Prof. Iwan Pranoto. The opening lesson with him was so meaningful and opened my mind of the new world challenge. Machine has involved human life, it can't be ignored, we must admit it. We can't ignore machine attendance in this world and we can't blame it. We admit that machine has replaced human's job so the thing that we must do now is having competences to face this machine world. There are  6 competences: knowledge on humanity, communication skill to both human being and machines, thinking collaboratively with machine, recognizing which competences are actually suitable and should be delegated to machine, Intellectual humanity toward other living creatures, universe, and even machine

Decontextualize-contextualize. That part was really interesting when he explained them. Competences for living in world machine have to be realized by human sooner. Then machine can replace human's work as long as the developing of technology so it is a big question how human deal with machine in order human's attendance can't be replaced. It can be done by dominated those competences.

Then the interesting topic continue to "Education in this machine world". He stated some important points; students and teachers collaboratively explore new competences of human, machine, and human-machine, hamonious progress of science technology and humanity cultures, facilitating the development of interdisciplinary literacy, giving more attention on the unique human's competences. "New competence", it quite push my mind. I thought teachers and students had to explore it through better learning. It has gone through a participant's question about using calculator on mathematics learning. Then Prof. Iwan said that using technology in learning process was not machine's fault but human were. For example: when teacher asked student to compute 25x5, it can be done easily by students through machine then teachers complained that it was wrong using calculator in mathematics learning. It was human's fault exactly. If teachers changed the question that makes students thought complexly, machine would help students and made them be better. For example: teachers asked students to compare three sketches with different measurement, students would think deeper and more complex to solve the problem. Calculator wouldn't help them at all.

When Prof. Iwan Pranoto stated that only 1% teachers had been using technology on learning process before pandemic Covid-19 then it changed immediately after pandemic Covid-19, it was surprising me. There are more than 30% teachers using technology nowadays. May be it is the starting of Indonesian education while many teachers start to include technology in their life.
