The Importance of a Hydrated Body During Ramadhan

Therefore, it is very important for us to be able to meet the body's need for fluids during fasting so that our bodies stay hydrated. To prevent dehydration (lack of fluids in the body) there are several ways that we can keep fluids in the body, such as:

1. Doing 2-4-2

As we already know that we have to drink 8 glasses a day, therefore to manage it we have to apply the 2-4-2 principle which means 2 glasses at dawn, 4 glasses after breaking the fast and 2 glasses before going to bed, try to drink mineral water.

2. Avoid excessive exercise

Doing exercise is very important for the body, but when fasting, avoid excessive exercise to prevent dehydration. Light exercise such as jogging or walking within a certain distance can be a solution for light exercise.

3. Consumption of fruits

Why don't I write iftar with sweet foods like compote and others? Because later we will be full quickly even though sweet foods can restore insulin levels in our body but sweet foods can also cause dehydration. To restore lost body fluids, fruits can be the right choice.
