Batik is Indonesia's national heritage. Batik, a traditional Indonesian cloth that is very beautiful when seen and used, and batik is also a part of Indonesian life. Mothers use a batik sling when they carry their infants. Usually batik clothes are worn at receptions, ceremonies, and other formal and social events. They also use batik as casual wear at home and places for recreation. 

When a person dies, people cover him  with batik with funerary motifs. In addition, people use batik for home furnishings such as bedsheets and covers, upholstery, and tablecloths. Bag, shoes, hats, and other accessories also often use batik patterns. In Indonesia there are various types of batik that you might not know, the types of batik in Indonesia, namely:

 Written batik.


 Written batik is batik with the highest artistic value because there is not a single batik in this world that is the same as possible but not the same. This is due to the very high level of handmade batik 100 percent made using canting even if there are repetitive motifs, these motifs are repeated using the hand so that it requires high concentration to make it neatly. None of the motifs and details are the same as other batik and there are initials the name of batik. The process uses a canting tool.

 The quality of this printed batik under batik print. Printed batik is different from batik print in the actual silk-screen printing method which works on the batik as a human being, not a machine, but people are confused between the printed batik and batik print. The process uses a large mold called plangkan and Rakel, a tool commonly used for screen printing t-shirts, but the process is easier and does not use wax. The printed batik, with repetitive motifs and the color of the backside of the fabric, is not as bright as the front side. This batik was used in the early 19th century and the manufacturing process uses an iron plate.

 Batik print is produced by textile printing machines. Most people assume that batik print does not inherit the level of crafts from previous types of batik. Many have dubbed batik. This is imitation batik, but this type of batik is not made using wax, so canting is also not used. with detailed and neat motifs, the backside of the fabric is white and the price is affordable. This batik appeared in 1970.
 The kinds of Indonesian batik that you need to know are:
  •  First inland batik, batik that developed in the area of Java with dark colors and gold decoration, there is Jogja and Solo batik.
  •  And the last coastal batik is a batik that developed in the 14th century with bright colors and a variety of unique motifs that exists in the area of Garut, Cirebon, Pekalongan, and Madura.

In summary, Batik is one of Indonesia's rich cultural heritage. Batik is a process of holding back colors by using wax over and over again on the fabric. In Indonesia, there are many different types and patterns of batik, one of which is written batik. Among the most expensive kinds of batik is written batik, because written batik requires the creativity of human hands to make it. In addition, batik is also being hunted by many people even though the price is expensive.
