Hosabi versi Kasidi 30 -- Essi and Condolences
There are two things across Kasidi's mind this morning. He wants to write in English about condolences and Kasidi-verse or essi.
The first is about Kasidi-verse or essi. Four or five years ago, Kasidi created 'Kasidi-verse' to bridge a human longing and a world over there beyond human imagination. The result is 'essi' and so far there are almost 500 essi were already written. Then yesterday, the CEO of FB was introduced a 'metaverse' as a new brand and image to bridge virtual world and reality. What a coincidence, what an irony, because if Mark Zuckerberg gets trillion dollars for this creation meanwhile Kasidi gets almost nothing in term of money but abundant in term of spiritual journey.
Amazingly, Kasidi told me that he is as happy as the tycoon in term of his achievement in the spiritual journey so far as being humble and honest, being intelligence and open minded or in his own term 'ndeso ning lantip lan prasojo'. As a new genre belongs to narrative poem it is also hope that essi can colour not only the narrative poems in general but also the literary works. It is also a strong hope that essi can enrich the BIBI (Bahasa Indonesia sebagai Bahasa Internasional) which were proclaimed more than a decade ago.
The second is about condolences. Remember Woodpecker? Along with 22 other animal species are declared officially that they are extinct for good. What still remains are their recording. Can science and technology make them alive again by using DNA and cloning procedures? We don't know yet.
How are about the animals in Indonesia? According to Kasidi It can be worse even though it seems okay in the surface. How are about the local languages? These are the worst. Our efforts to preserve them are almost nothing compared to their extinctions.Â
