Fighting The Harasser by Harassing The Perpetrator
The chaos that occurred at Gunadarma University, Depok, West Java, on Monday (12/12/2012) has grabbed the attention of the public, especially on social media.
The incident happened because two men who were persecuted were perpetrators of sexual harassment of female students at Gunadarma university. It is known that the persecution incident occurred on Monday (12/12/2022), at around 15.00 WIB.
The incident of persecution began when a female student who was a victim of sexual harassment spoke out on one of the Instagram accounts. The sexual harassment incident occurred on Friday (2/12/2022), where the victim was invited to the bathroom and an unpleasant act occurred.
"The victim was invited to the bathroom under the stairs (in the corner) and was suddenly kissed by the perpetrator. Well, ngadulah (the victim) to the Instagram account," said MI, one of Gunadarma's students, when confirmed, Tuesday (12/13/2022).
The story of sexual abuse experienced by the victim was eventually posted by the Instagram account and became crowded. Knowing her identity and harassing actions posted on the Instagram account, the perpetrator asked the admin of the account to delete her posts. From there, a number of Gunadarma students tracked down the identities of the two alleged perpetrators of sexual harassment and managed to find them.
Because their actions were known to campus students, the two male perpetrators of sexual harassment received various acts of persecution from a number of students on campus. In addition to being tied to a tree, the two men were smoked, stripped naked, and told to drink their own urine. The incident became a place for the spectacle and banter of campus residents until it finally went viral on social media.
Polda Metro Jaya revealed that the case of alleged sexual harassment in the campus environment, in the Depok area, West Java, ended peacefully. This is because the victim and the perpetrator solve their cases in a familial manner.
"So, it entered Gunadarma Depok. The case has been resolved peacefully. So, the victim did not report," said the Head of Public Relations of polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Endra Zulfan, to reporters, Tuesday (13/12/2022).
Zulfan said that the victim of sexual harassment did not want to report the incident to the Police, because it had been resolved with his seniors on campus. In addition, the victim also admitted that she was embarrassed if she had to prolong the sexual harassment case she experienced.
