On (21/10), 20 Communication Science Students from 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University and 10 Yogyakarta MSME attended the 4th training, namely Social Media Strategy & Optimization, by speaker Bondan Satria at Rumah BUMN Yogyakarta (RuBY).
Social media has now become a place for buying and selling online that can be reached by many people. With this, MSMEs must optimize their social media brands to be widely promoted. Optimizing social media can help sell products well to customers.
To find out how to optimize social media in promotional strategies, communication science students UNISA and UMKM Yogyakarta  have the right to know the basics of social media strategy.
Most importantly, MSMEs that open a business must have an official product account. This official account will be the Main Account of their product. But it's not enough with just one account. Why? because every business only has other supporting things. So, social media also requires that each MSME account create a maximum of 3 Pillar Accounts, which aims to support the main account.
Fill in the Main Account in the form of photos of products that will be sold by MSMEs. While the Pillar Account contains content that is still related to sales of the main product to be used as a promotional account.
For example, UMKM Atelier Hanabira, which is a business engaged in the creative field of flower arrangement. With the Main Account @hanabira_ by creating a Pilar Account @weddindingdinding, @kadokreatif, and @places this will be a sales promotion support account on the Main Account.
Apart from the problem of social media accounts, MSMEs must look at how to write captions, when to post, the hashtags used, and an attractive Instagram bio. This should also be considered when setting up a social media account for a business.
So, as much as possible MSME actors optimize the use of social media to promote the products they sell to attract the attention of consumers.
