I see you in the eye
made me dumbfounded
with your another rewarding deed

so matured and sincere yet cheerful
just sixteen going on seventeen

you have taken the road not taken by others in general

without any prejudice
in absence of fear being judged
simply devoting your precious time to strangers you barely know

neither trying to impress us nor pursuing earthly prizes
you are moved by an empathy
instilled by a compassion
you break down the differences
between the haves and the haves not
standing before them
encouraging and being a role model are exactly what they need at the most

first just a smile upon your face
another second effortlessly they submit their trust
they are willingly guided into a whole new world
a world where they can explore the unheard of
once the children think that the world is a shade of grey ...

young mind, young soul, o youth
a splendid star in a Milky Way
being gracious to enlighten the needy who are thirst of knowledge
brave and care enough to show the world
caring mind does exist in a world of greed
