EXT. TIDAR STREET - EVENING
ZICO exits a fried chicken restaurant in his school uniform.
A street hawker sells "THE ORIGINAL BANGKA MARTABAK" catches his attention.
                            ZICO
(to the seller in his 30s)
                     Sir, how much is it?
                      MARTABAK MAN
                      Five thousand--
                            ZICO
Five thousand? It's only one thousand
           at Blauran Market.
                      MARTABAK MAN
This is a luxury martabak from
               Bangka island.
ZICO sees the man's wife sprinkling grated cheese on a fresh martabak.
The boy can't stop salivating.
He empties his pockets. Counts them. Hands everything to the man.
                            ZICO
                  My mom loves martabak.
INT. MOM'S ROOM - EVENING
ZICO brings the martabak and two forks.
His mom's in bed reading A CHINESE MAGAZINE.
The boy shows her the martabak.
