  Jakarta, Sunday, November 10th, 2024. We celebrate The National Heroes' Day at 52 State JHS by attending the ceremony. At first, we gather around the lobby with our uniform and full attribute waiting for the instruction to gather in the field.Â
We fill the remaining times with talking with our friends while the Paskibra team prepare in their position to perform their job to raising the flag. When the bell rang, the ceremony start.
 When the ceremony start, the master of ceremony, coming from class 9F, Nia starts the opening for the ceremony and each markers gives instruction before the leader is in his position.Â
After that the inspector of ceremony, Bapak Mochammad Syafei stands on his position and the leader of the ceremony gives instruction to give him a salutation. Then, the Paskibra team perform the rising flag.
Along with the rising flag, the choir sung the Indonesia's national anthem, Indonesia Raya. The ceremony is going on as usual, except there's someone who is going to tell heroes' messages.
 After the ceremony, each classes taking pictures and videos to commemorate The National Heroes' Day and went home afterwards. Wait, it's not as simple as that! You're probably wondering why do we commemorate the National Heroes' Day? And why we have to? What's the history?
 On National Heroes' Day, Indonesians commemorate and honor all those who lost their lives in their 1945 battle against the British. Many people on both sides lost their lives, but in the end, Indonesia was able to remain free from Dutch colonial rule. This day is sometimes referred to as Warriors Day or National Hero Day.
 On Indonesian Heroes' Day, Indonesians commemorate the deaths of 16,000 Indonesian and 2,000 British soldiers in a three-week-long bloody battle.Â
This battle resulted from Indonesia's resistance to British efforts of returning Indonesia to the Dutch. The battle of November 10, 1945 was triggered the death of Brigadier Mallaby, an accident that could have been avoided.Â
