Postmodernism

Postmodernism is a concept that developed after the modern era with its modernism. ... Then for Giddens, it was a form of modernism that had become self-aware and wise. The latter, for Habermas, is an unfinished stage of modernism. Many figures give meaning to postmodernism as a continuation of modernism. But the sequel became very diverse. For Lyotard and Geldner, modernism is a total break from modernism.

Postmodernism is a complicated term or term. A difficult thing, if not impossible, to explain postmodernism. Not only can postmodernism be found in a variety of ways (such as in art, architecture, literature studies, and social sciences), but also in many cases postmodernism is understood and explained in a variety of different ways. When we talk about understanding postmodernism, various definitions can be found. 

Modernism and postmodernism, are not just philosophical and social theories which are only oriented to concepts, systems and methods. Contemporary modernist thinkers such as Karl Popper, Houston Smith and Habermas, do not consider important the emergence of the postmodernism movement. 

They remain convinced of the strength of the modernist movement that: modernity is still able to guide contemporary life for an indefinite period of time. Moreover, modernity has clearer philosophical roots.

Meanwhile, postmodernism is the antithesis of modernism. Almost all of the terms put forward by postmodernism are the antonymation of the term modernism.
