Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta Holds KKN Debriefing with BNN with the Theme: Realizing Shining Villages

Universitas Duta Bangsa (UDB) Surakarta together with National Narcotics Agency (BNN) held a briefing for Students Community Service (KKN) with the theme: "Realizing Shining Village". The event was held on Monday (18/11/2024) in Ballroom 1, Rectorate Campus, Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta. The activity began with remarks by the chairman of the KKN committee, Drs. Khabib Alia Ahmad, S. E., M. K., followed by material related to the dangers of drugs by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Central Java Province, Reza Aditya S. Pd., M. I. Kom.

Reza Aditya was sent by the head of the Central Java Province BNN to give a briefing. Reza said, "The purpose of equipping students about narcotics is so that students can become P4GN activists. P4GN is the Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking".

Students are assigned to conduct drug-related counseling to the community. Counseling can be done directly and indirectly. Direct counseling can be done in schools, Family Welfare Development (PKK) mothers and so on. Indirect counseling can be done by creating content or banners about the dangers of drugs and how to deal with groups of people involved with drugs. 

"My suggestion is that if students want to save costs for socialization, then they can do socialization to PKK mothers or men's associations," said Reza Aditya.

In addition to saving costs, socialization to mothers and fathers is also a reminder that parents have an important role as a deterrent to drug abuse in children. Parents must be a home and a comfortable place for their children, so that children do not seek comfort outside so that they are not influenced by promiscuity and drug abuse. 

"For socialization, it can be done by 1-2 people with 5-10 minutes so that the community does not feel bored. However, the material presented must be clear and acceptable to the community," said Reza Aditya.
