Interpreting is the process of repeating aloud what a person has said in another language. Communication with clients and speakers is the first process of interpreting. An interpreter listens to speakers of one language, listens to what is being said, changes words to another meaning, and changes the meaning back to words in another language. The interpreter then uses the tools of the target language to restate understanding and meaning.
Interpreters can translate without reference materials such as dictionaries. Therefore an interpreter must have cognitive skill such as understanding the message directly what said by the speaker. For approximately 5-10 minutes the interpreter must be able to understand the massage and then organize he wods spoken according to the information he heard.

1. Process of Perception

The interpreter has 2 main ways to understand the message. There is auditory and the other is visual. At that time, the interpreter's hearing ability and environment are factors that affect the quality of the interpretation.

When comparing to listening in general, listening in interpretation is a more complex and difficult process. The environment, temporal and spatial conditions in which communication take place also play in the process of interpretation.

The interpreter must also be able to quickly translate into similar that the target audience can understand. Time constraints for speakers at communication often mean delivering messages at a breakneck pace. A loud listening environment makes it difficult for both the intended recipient and the interpreter to receive the transmitted massage.

2. Decryption Process

The decryption process begins when the interpreter stores information in 'auditory perceptual memory', extracting the necessary information from both verbal and non-verbal codes. A message is born here.

Factors that influence the quality of interpretation in this process are the sources of information, especially the speaker, the interpreter's linguistic competence, and background knowledge. World and knowledge on the topic discussed.

3. Process of Recording

The interpreter's memory play an important role in this process and determines whether this process is successful, or at least how much the interpreter can extract from the source's speech. An additional safeguard for this process is to take notes. This seems to be more important in consecutive interpreting.

Record must be comprehensible and can be spiritual or written. The human information processing system has his three types of memory known as perception (sensory memory) Bao Gang (1998). Working memory (Short-term memory) and permanent memory (long-term memory). Of these three types of memory, working memory plays an important role in interpreter's work, while shprt memory is severely limited in size, holding only about 7 plus or minus 2 pieces of information. Of couse, ypu can't when it comes interpreting, you can't just rely on your brain and memory. Instead, you should leverage your notes to expand each unit and record information as accurately as possible. From above According to the analysis, we can conlude that the recording stage of the interpreting process must be filled with a combination of effective memorization and necessary notes.

4. Coding Process

This process involves activation of target language (TL) elements in long-term memory, syntactic and semantic text processing and word chain processing based on TL restatement of the source message.

Throughout the interpreter succesfull from performs her first three steps, factors influencing this step include the interpreter's proficiency in various types of translation skills, and specified receptor.

5. Process of Expression

Expression when representation is the final steap in process of interpretating. A norml and effective expression can only be achieved through he successful execution of the first four steps, which are very important as the expression itself directly affects the final output and result. Undoubtedly, the previous steps are a critical factor in the success of the final steap.

However, there are still some linguistic considerations for interpreters. The interpreter's speech should be loud enough to be heard by everyone, sncere and uniform, and of appropriate pitch. The pronounciation from interpreter should be good and consistent, if not standard British or American English.
