I believe that each of us here already sets intentions daily-for every class and perhaps even for each student we teach.

However, not all of our students may have this habit in their daily lives, particularly in school, specific subjects, or the various activities and events they take part in.

As teachers, we often begin our lessons by outlining what we aim to accomplish today, this week, this month, or even throughout the semester. We explain the objectives of our lessons, yet not all students fully understand their own purpose as learners.

Today's reflection reminds me of Bu Itje Chodijah, who once taught us about the importance of Reflective Learning. This concept encourages both educators and students to actively engage in their learning experiences, making them more meaningful and relevant.

Let's reflect on these key questions together:

1. Why is reflective learning important?

Reflective learning engages both the heart and mind, making the learning process more meaningful and personally relevant. When students reflect, they connect what they learn to their own experiences, leading to deeper understanding and long-term retention.

2. Why do we need goal setting?

Without clear goals, we lose direction. As learners, we absorb and achieve more when we know what we are striving for. As teachers, we can guide and inspire more effectively when we have well-defined objectives. Goal setting helps both students and educators stay focused and motivated.

3. Why is mindfulness important?

Mindfulness means being fully present-not just physically, but also emotionally and mentally. Maybe some of us have faced situations where students sit in class but seem disconnected, failing to grasp the discussion. Often, this is not due to a lack of ability, but rather a lack of mindfulness. Encouraging students to be fully present and actively engaged enriches their learning experience and supports their overall well-being.
