Cooperation Between Australia and South Sulawesi in Various Feilds

The meeting with educational leaders will reiterate Australia's commitment to innovative research and evidence-based policy making in South Sulawesi. This includes through the PAIR (Partnership for Australia Indonesia Research) program, KSI (Knowledge Sector Initiative) and RISE (Revitalization of Informal Settlements and Their Environment), and CSIRO's Climate Risk Resilience Digital Platform. Williams will also meet important figures from Australian alumni. The South Sulawesi Provincial Government, through the South Sulawesi Transportation Service, is also collaborating with the Australian government regarding the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP).

In addition, the Australian Government is collaborating with Indonesia in distributing 4 million doses of PMK vaccine as a form of the Australian government's commitment to the Indonesian government and the Australian government donating 200 thousand doses of vaccine to South Sulawesi which will arrive in September 2022. The Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture) and the Provincial Government of South Sulawesi treat the spread of foot and mouth disease (FMD).

On 26 and 27 October 2022 more than 500 people including veterinarians, veterinary paramedics and military and police personnel were trained to vaccinate livestock with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Australia Indonesia Health Resilience Partnership (AIHSP). Australian Consul General Bronwyn Robbins AIHSP has conducted field vaccination training in 23 districts in South Sulawesi consisting of vaccinators, livestock data loggers, training in giving FMD vaccinations. more than 13,900 cattle throughout south sulawesi have been vaccinated.

Australia has collaborated a lot with the South Sulawesi provincial government in various fields of strengthening the quality of education, health, infrastructure, tourism, environment, agriculture, livestock and animal health which has been planned since 2012 through a Letter of Intent between the South Sulawesi Provincial Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) with the Australia - Indonesia Center (AIC) until now the collaboration between South Sulawesi and Australia is still ongoing. which has generated many benefits for the survival of the community in South Sulawesi starting from the development of transportation in the Mamminasata Area Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), the AIC PAIR research program, in the field of animal husbandry and agriculture, the development of vocational schools, the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Indonesia-Australia (IA-CEPA), also produced the PAIR (Partnership for Australia Indonesia Research) program, KSI (Knowledge Sector Initiative) and RISE (Revitalizing Informal Settlements and their Environments), and CSIRO's Climate Risk Resilience Digital Platform. In addition, the Australian Government is collaborating in tackling the spread of foot and mouth disease (FMD) by donating 200 thousand doses of vaccine to South Sulawesi which will arrive in September 2022.
