Football is one of the most popular sports in all parts of the world. When we watch outside the match arena, we will find commentators coloring the game shows. Peter Drury, Jon Champion, to Jim Baglin are a line of names that we often encounter in many football matches, especially the English league, even on console games.

In Indonesia, we have met a lot of Tris Irawan, Ricky Johannes, and Valentino "Jebret" Simanjuntak who became trending because they were considered too excessive in presenting the program.

Lately his name has been hotly discussed by netizens. The hashtag #GerakanMuteMassal emerged, which topped the Twitter trending list Monday, April 12, 2021.

Apart from being an entertainment material, football matches cannot be separated from education in the form of football history, clubs and statistical data. One of the objectives and functions of broadcasting as stipulated in the KPI regulations concerning

Broadcast Program Standards (SPS) is to strengthen national integration, develop national character and identity that are faithful and cautious, educate the nation's life, in the framework of building an independent, democratic, just and prosperous society.

From the point of view of media ethics (Haryatmoko, 2007: 38--39), it is imperative that media ethics be applied. There are three things that are emphasized about ethics, namely: (1) awareness that the media have tremendous power and effects on the public, the media manipulate and alienate people from the real world; (2) maintaining a balance between freedom of expression and media responsibility towards audiences; (3) the negative impact of the media can be avoided.

The commentator, Bung Valentino, who is considered hyperbole, hopes that he can enlighten the Indonesian people. In addition, those who criticize to be more polite in carrying out the function of freedom of expression.

From some of the results above, we should take lessons from existing events so that they don't happen again in the future. In addition, hopefully the quality of Indonesian broadcasting will improve, which will educate and develop the character and identity of the nation.
