The increase in fuel prices in Indonesia has a negative impact on society. An increase in fuel prices can cause an increase in the prices of goods and services, thereby weakening people's purchasing power. This can increase poverty and social inequality. Apart from that, rising fuel prices can also disrupt economic activities, especially economic activities that require transportation, such as industry and tourism. The government has attempted to reduce the negative impact of rising fuel prices by providing assistance to the poor and vulnerable. Apart from that, the government is also encouraging the use of electric vehicles and renewable energy. However, these efforts are still considered insufficient to overcome the negative impact of rising fuel prices.
