Samuel family’s house

Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Lina are watching television while discussing about Chritsmas holiday next 2 weeks. It happened in the evening.

INT. LIVING ROOM OF MR. SAM’S HOUSE. EVENING

Mrs. Lina         : This chritsmas holiday, where are we going to go Pah? I think we should try the different places pah. (holding Singapore map)

Mr. Sam          : Mah, we’ve never visited my parents in Malang for 3 years, how about visiting them in Malang?

Mrs. Lina         : What? Malang? We can visit them after holiday. This holiday I wanna go to Singapore. We can shopping many clothes there. My friend, Mrs. Hilly said that there are a big sale in Singapore special for holiday.

Mr. Sam          : Don’t think yourself mah, we should think also our children. In Singapore, we can do shopping only, we cannot enjoy there. In Malang also we can enjoy, because the air is still fresh there. We can visit my parents while holiday. Mario and Angel also can meet their grandparents.

Mrs. Lina         : Oh no no. They are fine, we don’t have to see them. This is holiday Pah, we’ve to go abroad pah. Your parents make me crazy. They always ask me something which isn’t important.

Angel and Mario come and join the discussion with their parents.

Mario               : Hi mom, dad. What are you discussing? It seems serious. (kiss his parents’ on both cheeks).

Mrs. Lina         : Hi honey..we are discussing about the chritsmas holiday. I wanna go to Singapore, but your father wanna visit your grandparents in Malang. What about you? You wanna go to Singapore too, right? You can visit universal studio and the most important thing we can go shopping many clothes there. (trying convincing her children).

Angel              : I dissagree with you mom. I don’t like Singapore. How about Raja Ampat, we can enjoy there..the beaches and the sea are beautiful. We can swimming and see the beatutiful coral while snorkelling. Wow it must be great. (exciting)

Mario               : If you just wanna see the sea and beach, you can go to Ancol. I think they are the same.

Angel              : Of course not. In Ancol, the beach is dirty and it’s not beautiful at all.

Mario               : But, they almost the same. In Ancol also we can swimming with trash. (laughing).

Angel              : Haha...(mocking) it’s not funny..well, where are you going to go for holiday?

Mario               :  I agree with you mom, I wanna go to Singapore too.

Mrs. Lina         : Good boy. (rubbing Mario’s hair).

Angel              : Mom, you can shopping in Senayan City or Pondok Indah Mall.

Mrs. Lina         : Of course is not the same honey. The clothes in Singapore are very branded which there are not here.

Mr. Sam          : Hey hey kids..enough! don’t you miss you grandparents? This is Christmas holiday. On Christmas day all families usually come together.

Mrs. Lina         : Well Pah, we visit them after we come back from Singapore.

Mr. Sam          : I’m their only son. I know their feeling. If this Chritsmas we don’t visit them. They’ll feel hurt.

Mrs. Lina         : We will visit them but after come back from Singapore Pah.

Angel              : I wanna go to Raja Ampat Dad.

Mr. Sam          : We can go there next july. How? But, this Christmas we’ve go to Malang. I think we won’t get the tickets now.

Angel              : We can try booking tickets from now.

Mr. Sam          : Let’s try..(taking mobile phone from his pocket).

Mrs. Lina         : Wait...wait..tickets to Singapore too..just try.

Mr. Sam          : okay..(starting make a call to the travel and waiting the answer).

Travel Agent employee (on the telephone): Dina tour and travel, good evening, may I help you?

Mr. Sam          : Yes. I wanna book 4 tickets to.. (look at his wife).

Mrs. Lina         : Singapore (whispering).

Mr. Sam ( to the employee): To singapore.

Employee        : On what date sir?

Mr. Sam          : on December 17th. Is it available?

Employee        : wait a moment sir, let me check first.

Mr. Sam          : Yes. Please.

Angel              : I hope it’s fullbook.

Mario               : No. It must be available.

Employee (on the telephone)   : I’m sorry sir, on that date is full.

Mr. Sam          : Fullbook? On what date that available?but before 25th.

Angel              : (laughing) it’s fullbook..I said before.

Employee        : Wait a moment sir. (typing and check the schedule).

Mr. Sam          : (keep silent and waiting).

Employee        : Hallo sir. Are you still there?

Mr. Sam          : Yes.

Employee        : The availble date after 25th. On January 3rd by Singapore airlines sir.

Mr. Sam          : Wait a moment mbak.

Mr. Sam (to his wife) : (muffle the handphone) On Jan 3rd mah. How?

Mrs. Lina         : Oh no. The sale is over on that day, find others plane like batavia or sriwijaya may be!

Mario               : For me it doesn’t matteer. (while playing game on the Ipad).

Mr. Sam to employee : Please check other flight Mbak, Batavia, Lion, or Sriwijaya?

Employee        : Let me check sir. (checking the schedule).

One minutes later

Employee        : There is no available flight on that day sir. All flights are available after January 2nd.

Mr. Sam          : oh..okay I see.

Angel              : Ask to Raja Ampat now Pah.

Mr. Sam          : Hallo Mbak, can you check the schedule to Raja Ampat Island?

Employee        : Fine. Wait a minutes. (checking the schedule)..I’m sorry sir, on the same date?

Mr. Sam          : yes before 25th.

Employee        : Sir, sorry until January 5th is fullbook.

Mr. Sam          : Okay. Thank you Mbak.

Employee        :  You’re welcome.

Mr. Sam          : All flights are not available to both Singapore and Rajaempat.It means this Christmas, we’ve to go to Malang, visiting my parents.

Mrs. Lina         : Fine, but I think we cannot get the tickets to Malang too, Pah.

Angel              : We can go by car. Our own car.

Mario               : How long does it take to Malang Pah?

Mr. Sam          : About 15 or 20 hours.

Mario               : Oh no..it’s too long in the car for 20 hours. It must be boring.

Mrs. Lina         : And..there must be many traffic jam everywhere. We can be stuck in a traffic jam.

Mr. Sam          : But we can take a rest in some place, such as jogja.

Angel              : That’s good idea. We visit Jogja and stay there 1 night.

Mrs. Lina         : I’ve ever gone to Malang in Christmas by car, it was very tiring.

Angel              : It can be interesting mom...

Mario               : I don’t think so.

Mr. Sam          : Or you want just staying at home during Christmas holiday, huh? If both of you don’t wanna go, I’ll go with Angel. (in high tone).

Mrs. Lina         : Pah, don’t be angry. Well I join with you. (rubbing her husband’s shoulder).

Mario               : You don’t check the flight schedule to Malang Pah.

Mrs.Lina          : Yes. You should check first. (giving her mobile phone).

Mr. Sam          : Why don’t you check?

Mrs. Lina         : okay. (button the phone number).

Employee (on the telephone) : Good evening, Dina tour and travel, may I help you?

Mrs. Lina         : yes, could you like to check flights to Malang on December 23rd.

Employee        : What Flight miss?

Mrs. Lina         : Any flight is ok.

Employee        : Let me check first miss? (checking the schedule).

Mrs. Lina         : Okay (waiting).

Employee        : Sorry miss, there is no flight are available on that day.

Mrs. Lina         : Okay thank you. (end the call, hopeless). Unluky we are.

They keep silent and suddenly the phone is ringing and Mr. Sam wake up from his seat and hangs up the telephone. It’s Mr. Sam’s mother, Mrs. Ani.

Mr. Sam          : Hallo?

Mrs. Ani          : Sam, will you come home this Christmas? Or you have other plan to go somewhere?

Mr. Sam          : I will Bu. But, we don’t get any tickets, so I plan to drive my own car.

Mrs. Ani          : You don’t have to drive your car Nak. Ibu and Bapak have already buy 4 tickets for you, because you didn’t see us for 3 years.

Mr. Sam          : Yes Bu. I’m so sorry. I’ve been busy in three years Bu. But this year, I’ve planned to see you. Honestly, Lina wanna go to Singapore this holiday, but we didn’t get the tickets. There is no available tickets until January 3rd.

Mrs. Ani          : God knows what the best for you Nak. Yo’ve to visit your parents first.

Mr. Sam          : I know Ibu. I’m so sorry. Is Bapak healthy?

Mrs. Ani          : Yes. He drives car to Matos (Malang Town Square) every evening. He very miss you Sam. Bapak always ask me when you’ll come home?

Mr. Sam          : I’m very glad hearing that. Bu, do you want to speak with Lina?

Mrs. Ani          : Yes.

Mr. Sam to Mrs. Lina  : Mah... Ibu wants to speak with you. Here..(calling his wife).

Mrs. Lina         : Yes, wait.. (come closer to her husband and followed by her children).

Mr. Sam giving the telephone to her.

Mrs. Lina         : Hallo Bu, how are you?

Mrs. Ani          : Really fine. How about you and my grandchildren, Mario and Angel?

Mrs. Lina         : They are fine Bu, they miss you so much.

Mrs. Ani          : Really? Why don’t you visit us?

Mrs. Lina         : Yes bu, we will visit you this year.

Mrs. Ani          : But, your husband said that you wanna go to Singapore?

Mrs. Lina         : Yes mom...but we didn’t get the flight.

Mrs. Ani          : If you get the flight, you won’t visit us, right?

Mrs. Lina         : I said to Sam that we’ll visit you after comeback from Singapore.

Mrs. Ani          : I have 4 tickets Garuda for you to Malang.

Mrs. Lina         : Owh really Bu? Thank you so much Bu.

Mrs. Ani          : Yes..And I have one surprice more for you all.

Mrs. Lina         : What is that Bu?

Mrs. Ani          : I’ve sent it yesterday by Tikki. Maybe tomorrow you will accept it.

Mrs. Lina         : I’m so curious Bu.

Mrs. Ani          : Just wait and you’ll surprise and happy receive it. Okay Lin, Ibu and Bapak have to go bed now, see you soon in Malang.

Mrs. Lina         : Yes Bu, good night. See you in Malang. Thank you before for the surprise. (put the telephone).

Angel              : So...we’re going to Malang by plane, right?

Mrs. Lina         : Yes Angel. You grandparents said that they give us the surprise and may be tomorrow it will arrive.

Mario               : What kind of surprise Mah? Is it I phone 5 for me? Christmas present.

Mrs. Lina         : I don’t know Rio, Oma didn’t tell me.

Angel              : Impossible. Hallo..wake up Dek.

Mario               : I just hope Oma give me I phone 5 this Christmas.

Angel              : Oma always give us the clothes every Christmas Dek.. so, it impossible if they give you I phone 5.

Mr. Sam          : Well kids..Go to bed, it’s time to sleep. Tomorrow we’ll know the surprise from Oma.

Mario and Angel go to their bed. While Mr. Sam and Mrs. Lina still at the living room.

Mrs. Lina to Mr. Sam  : Doesn’t she tell you Pah?

Mr. Sam          : No. Ibu only said  about the tickets to Malang.

Mrs. Lina         : I’m so curious what surprise that Ibu gives.

Mr. Sam          : Just wait until tomorrow. Let’s go sleeping Mah.

On the next day. There is a Tikki deliverer. A big present in the box. Mario and Angel are waiting it from early morning.

Mario               : Mah.....this is a present from Oma arrived.

Angel              : Open it quickly..It’s very big...what is this?

Mrs. Lina walk downstair to see the present.

Mrs. Lina         : Give it to me..I wanna open it.

Mrs. Lina start to open the present. There are 4 tickets Garuda to Malang and 4 Tickets Singapore Airlines.

Mrs. Lina         : Thanks God....we’ll go to Singapore.......................(screaming..)

Mario               : Yee...... Singapore...We’re coming......(jumping).

Angel              : Singapore? Wow...great.

Mr. Sam          : We’ve to thank to Ibu and Bapak. I’ll call them.
