- The drama Endless Love which aired in 2002 became the beginning of the spread of the Korean Wave in Indonesia.
- Korean style trends are increasingly rampant in Indonesia, many local people prefer Korean style compared to styles developed in their own country.

- The positive impact of the Korean Wave or Hallyu is that it can broaden one's insights about other countries, especially insights about South Korea. Due to advances in technology and transportation as well as the large number of fans of the music group from the country of Ginseng, they have come to Indonesia to perform a concert, and that of course will attract international media to cover. This can be used to promote Indonesia to the world, attracting foreign tourists to visit Indonesia. Of course Indonesia is increasingly recognized by the whole world.
- The results of this study indicate that there are 14 types of negative impacts of the Korean Wave on Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students, namely wasteful, wasted time, disrupted study time and postponed assignments or work, difficulty sleeping (insomnia), hallucinations, dependence, neglect of worship, likes to follow South Korean fashion (K-Style), inserts Korean in daily life, knows more information about South Korea than Indonesia itself, prefers to be alone, is more interested in South Korean culture than its own culture, gets too carried away from dramas watched, and ignore the people around.
- The negative impact brought by the introduction of Korean culture into Indonesia is mini Korean-style clothing worn to markets or quiet places at night. "Actually, Korean fashion is not just mini clothes, there are also many that are closed and more suitable for use in Indonesia. But back again from us, as long as we use it properly and wisely and know the place and conditions then it's not a problem.
