Jakarta Regional Regulation No. 8/2011 on the Protection of Women and Children from Violence.

Who has the obligation and responsibility to protect women and children from violence? Based on Article 6 of the DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation Number 8 of 20211, which has the obligation and responsibility in providing protection for women and children from acts of violence is a shared responsibility of the Regional Government, Community, Families and Parents.

Conclusion: Active cooperation from every component of the nation starting from the Regional Government, the environment around the place of residence, families who are at home and especially parents are needed in every action and safety from acts of violence that lurk at any time, especially for women and children, where these components cannot work alone, but a good cooperative ecosystem must be established for a more connected protection in preventing things such as acts of violence.

One of the rights of women and children from violence is the right to assistance. What does it mean? What is meant by the right to assistance is the rights possessed by women and children from acts of violence to be accompanied by professional people consisting of, among others, psychologists, psychiatrists, health experts, clergy, advocates, and family members.

Conclusion: Women and children who experience acts of violence are entitled to assistance from individuals who work as volunteers to provide protection and support to women and children who are victims of violence during the judicial process, where these mentors can also come from family members of the victims, friends, as well as independent organizations that pay attention to witnesses and victims or also paralegals or lawyers/advocates who certainly understand the legal issues.

The Regional Action Commission is tasked with eliminating the worst forms of child labour. What are the worst types of child labour? What is meant by the worst work for children, including children who work in the construction sector, prostituted children, children who work as scavengers, domestic workers, work in the household industry, work as beggars, car washers, work in the entertainment sector, to children. children who work as hawkers to street buskers.

Conclusion: In addition to establishing a work unit under the name P2TP2A, in order to support the implementation of protection for women and children, the Governor formed a Task Force and Regional Action Commission for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour.

Later this Commission, supported by other components, will work to eradicate business units that are classified as heavy businesses in which the company employs children in it.

Even children who work on the streets such as buskers, hawkers and beggars cannot escape the task of this Regional Action Commission in eradicating it from the roots.

Later these children will be nurtured to acquire qualified skills so that they can be empowered in the community, which of course is a type of work that is more humane and in accordance with their age and physical abilities.
