If you love Greek Mythology and also a fan of Percy Jackson series. You might love about The Hidden Oracle. This is absolutely one of masterpiece stories that you have to read. The Hidden Oracle is the first story of the series The Trials of Apollo, it was written by Rick Riordan who also the author of The famous story about the Greek gods; and Percy Jackson. One thing for sure that I believe you will love is that this story will be a total different from the series of Percy Jackson.
The main setting is in New York city, but since it is an adventure story than you will find a lot of ancient and magnificent places mentioned in the story. The story started with a teenager boy who falls into the dumpster in the New York alley, unfortunately, two young thugs trying to plunder him but then a mysterious young girl namely Meg save his life from the thugs. Apollo, the god of music, dance, archery, healing, truth and prophecy. Has to be punished and turned into a young boy -who looks poor, by his father, Zeus. In order to get his life as the god back he have to solve several mystical problems started with the oracle Delphi whose gone after the war with Gaea --read story; the heroes of Olympus- Someone who is previously assumed dead going back to life with a person that he had promised with. With those people Apollo started the journey to find another and the most ancient oracle; the hidden oracle.
What makes this as the masterpiece is the fact that the god Apollo got a punishment by Zeus and turn into Human, and the most important thing is; he is powerless. The Hidden Oracle is an exceptionally amusing read, shocking, and humorous at the same time, and I really recommend it to anybody who loves to read an adventure yet mythological story. You will immediately want to read another books in this series even the previous one. I personally couldn't put it down and it kept me reading and guessing all the way through.
