English Language. Bridge to Around the World!

We always hear that learning English is an important thing, or that we have to be able to speak and understand English. But why should we do that? Why don't we only use the Indonesian language? Learning English is not just about skills or only because of wanting to look great by speaking English. The importance of learning English is more than that. Here I will describe some reasons why it is important to learn English.

English is also known as an opportunity language. Why?  Because English can be a bridge or way for us to get access to more knowledge. Most of the books, the web, and other media are in the English language. Also, some of the world's great literature is written by famous writers in the English language. If you understand English you will be able to read and get more information from that and get more knowledge. We also be able to attend international conferences or events. Not just understanding what the event talk we can also make relationships and it can be networking opportunities for us. Learning English can also be accessed for us to study abroad or go around the world and learn about another country and its culture.

The English language has a simple alphabet similar to Indonesian. There is no complicated symbol in English. So it makes it easier to read and learn English. English is a fantastic intellectual challenge. Learning English mean we must learn about grammar, pronunciation, and many vocabulary. There is also something like a vocab but with some different meanings. It makes learning English be difficult but also challenging.

English is not just about grammar, vocabulary, or how to be able to speak. The privilege to learn English is more than that.
