Additionally, under Article 62 paragraph (2) of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, influencers who advertise fraudulent accounts under the guise of auctions are punishable by up to two years in prison or a fine of IDR 500 million for breaking the terms of Article 17 paragraph (1) letter f, which prohibits advertising business actors from violating advertising laws and ethics.

You can also report violations of Article 20 of the Consumer Protection Law to the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency so that influencers can face administrative penalties in the form of a maximum IDR 200 million in compensation.
