This article refers to an ex combatant Free Aceh Movement (GAM) opinion on Jakarta post, titled “There’s subsidies and then there’s subsidies,” (The Jakarta Post, Sept. 4) by M. Nur Djuli.

This is an interesting opinion from an ex- Aceh Free Movement (GAM) member since he wrote an opinion about Nation’s recent update issue. Unlike most of his fellows, Nur Djuli shared his thoughts and even solution in government’s most critical problem “BBM subsidies”.

Personally, as an Achenese, I surely glad and proud to have a respectable person like him who gave his thoughts and participation in order to offer solution one of the most National’s problem in the most consumed foreign newspaper in Indonesia. In his opinion, Nur Djuli described about BBM subsidies statement by the next government Jokowi-JK, who arrange to abolish it and then focusing the subsidies target to productive purposes like farming and fishery. Carefully, he shared his thoughts from through his political outlook where as Jokowi administration program might be constrained by the house of representative since the opposition gained the majority of the house. So it predictably that Jokowi’s program might not passed the house. In doing so, Nur Djuli shared his thoughts that could be one of the solutions for Indonesia most problem. He took the example from the closest neighbor, Malaysia who facing the same problem a decade ago. He suggested the new government to be more creative like Malaysian in order to supervise and control the BBM subsidies.

I personally respect his opinion, that shows his quality as a good citizen who actively participated to solve national problem through his thoughts, even though he known as one of the GAM charismatic leaders at the time, still he shared his thoughts wisely without trying to discredit neither the recent government nor the next one. In contrary, He offered solutions that might be helpful to consider by the next government.

Obviously, I also hope that by way of his thoughts, could give a proper and valuable inputs to recent Aceh’s government which seems so insecure in almost all Aceh’s sectors like unsolved matter in gas and oil problem and also the “blok Pase” issue that really harm Aceh people. (http://politik.kompasiana.com/2013/04/18/siapa-bermain-di-blok-pase-552534.html).

At last but not least, hopefully Allah SWT gave His kindness and guidance to the new government to overcome those critical conditions and gave the best solution to all national’s problems.
