My Lovely Aceh (Aceh Loeng Sayang)

July 17th 2005, almost exactly seven years ago, signing the MoU between Indonesia and GAM in Helsinki, Finland. And what about the Aceh today, better or  still no change. If viewed from the perspective of an agreement between the two sides, can be said that Indonesia has fulfilled the promise that had previously been neglected.

From both sides between Indonesia and GAM peaceful, a lot of things still not understood. First, why so many former GAM leaders who have a vital sector in the government system. Such as governor, regent, district and others. Is the conflict in Aceh is only a small group of interests who only wanted power, so they make rebellion in Aceh and it is not a real intention to liberate themselves from the government of Indonesia.

Second, in contrast to the first. Many of the soldiers who, after Indonesia and GAM GAM peace be poorer than before. It described as having struggled with the subordinate was then abandoned.

From this paper I want to conclude that the Acehnese are very vulnerable to conflict. This is not the issue of foreign intervention, but it is rather because the social gap between the one with the other. Among the former GAM leaders and soldiers.
