We know that mosquitoes are very annoying insects and insect repellent is the easiest solution to use.  But do you know the dangers of using mosquito spray, which contains pesticides, and when used in the home can actually increase the risk of developing leukemia (blood cancer) or lymphoma (lymphatic cancer) in children.  Pesticides are often used to eradicate insects in and around the house.

The danger of using the spray medicine is not something that can be underestimated.  As a statement from researchers from Harvard T.H.  The Chan School of Public Health combines data from 16 preliminary studies comparing pesticide exposure in children affected by leukemia or lymphoma and in children who are not affected by the two diseases.

This study calculates levels of insecticides and herbicides (weed killers) inside the house, in the yard, and outside the home.  They concluded that 47 percent of children exposed to insecticides in the home were more likely to develop leukemia and 43 percent more likely to develop lymphoma.  "Remember that pesticides are designed and produced to kill organisms," said lead researcher from Harvard T.H.  Chan School of Public Health Boston.

Previous research has shown that the use of pesticides may have an effect on children's health compared to the health of adults.  Children may be vulnerable because their immune systems are still developing.  Their body's defense system is weaker than adults.  When in the room the lack of fresh air when the chemicals are sprayed can cause children to be exposed to pesticides in their respiratory system or food.  And maybe the chemicals might stick to their hands and rub them from their hands.  In general, children under 12 years are very susceptible to cancer caused by the effects of pesticides.  If the use of insect repellent is reduced then the risk of exposure to harmful chemicals will also be reduced.

After we know the danger of mosquito spray.  supported by the results of research data of a scientist who shows the danger of mosquito repellent because it contains chemicals harmful to the body, especially the respiratory system, therefore the use of mosquito repellent must be reduced so that the risk of exposure to chemical pesticides will reduce.
