Three Lecturers of Sumbawa University of Technology Received SEARCA Collaborative Research Grant (The UC Seed Fund Collaborative Research Grant)

Three Lecturers of Sumbawa University of Technology, Nurul Amri Komarudin, M.Si. and Yuni Yolanda, S.Pi., M.Si (Lecturer of Environmental Engineering) and Chairul Anam Afgani, S.TP., MP.  (Lecturer of Agricultural Product Technology) resulted in obtaining a research grant from The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) 

in The UC seed Fund Collaborative Research Grant program, in collaboration with researchers from the  IPB University and Brawijaya University with the Research Title "Comparative of Greenhouse Gases Effects from Agricultural Activities in Bogor and Sumbawa".  With a research period of June 1, 2022 until May 31, 2023, the total research period obtained is worth 5000 USD.

The UC seed Fund Collaborative Research Grant is a  research grant program provided by SEARCA,  providing a  fund of 5000 USD, for research topics in the field ofsustainable management of natural resource systems, Food and agriculture policy, Biotechnology in agriculture, Food and health, Information and communication technology, bioinformatics, and data management in agriculture.

 This research was initiated by Nurul Amri Komarudin, M.Si.  He is an expert in the fields of Environmental Policy, Environmental Economics, Atmospheric Pollution and  Climate Change.   by looking at the socio-economic situation of the people on  Sumbawa Island, the majority of whom work as farmers and ranchers, He is interested in research related to the 

perception of farmers and ranchers in Sumbawa is related to the Greenhouse  Gas  Effect, because he sees that there are still many farmers in Sumbawa who have not been able to carry out farming and raising activities which are environmentally friendly, then in this study, a comparison is needed so that Bogor was chosen as a comparison in this study.

 In this research, an environmental expert and statistician and a Food Science Expert were needed, so Yuni Yolanda S.Pi., M.Si was chosen (as environmentalist and statistician) and Chairul Anam Afgani, S.TP., MP. (as an expert in Food Science and Technology) to join in this part of the research team.

In applying for this research grant, a team must consist of two members from the University Consortium and in Indonesia who are included in the UC member, one of which is the IPB University and Brawijawa University.  so colleagues from IPB University and Brawijaya University were chosen as collaborators of this research with each of them being Beata Ratnawati, S.T., MT. 

who is also the initiator of this research.  this research, Leonard Dharmawan, SP., M.Si.  (as socioeconomic experts) both from IPB University, Then Rifqi Rahmat Hidyatullah, S.Hut.,  M.Si. (As a Mapping Expert / GIS) from Brawijaya University.
