INTRODUCTION
Today, I will review a journal entitled "Website-based Geographic Information System for Mapping Spiritual Flows in Pudak District, Ponorogo Regency" written by 3 authors: Ahmad Fauzan, Faisal Reza Pradhana, and Taufiqurrahman. This journal was published on December 11, 2021 at the 1st National Seminar on Technology and Multimedia Science. This journal aims to develop a web-based geographic information system (GIS) to map spiritual flows in Pudak District, Ponorogo using Wordpress and Leaflet. The background of this study is the need to information about spiritual flow data more effectively and easily accessible.
SUMMARY
This study uses a waterfall model in system development, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The result of this study is a website that displays a map of spiritual flows in Pudak District, complete with coordinates and types of spiritual flows and the number of followers. Functional testing and user surveys showed a satisfaction level of 89.3% with the design and functionality of the website.
EVALUATION
This application is considered effective in presenting information about spiritual flows in Pudak District. Users also provide positive feedback regarding the ease of use and intuitive design. Although this application offers many solutions for mapping spiritual flows, there are some limitations that need to be considered. One of them is the dependence on data collected and updated by the administrator, which can affect the accuracy of the information. In addition, this application may require improvements in interactive features to increase user engagement and provide a more immersive experience.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS
I strongly agree with the creation of this application. This application helps provide information about spiritual flow data in a location complete with data on its followers. But in my opinion, the hope for the future for this application is to expand the reach of spiritual flow data. Not only focusing on Pudak District, but if possible as wide as Java. Further development can include the addition of interactive features and increased accessibility for various platforms.
