Abstract
This study's specific goal is to categorize and explain the many kinds of meaning shifts that occur in television commercials for Indomie instant noodles, which air on different Indonesian television networks between 2018 and 2020. This study is significant because language usage in one of the practical electronic language mediums, television advertisement messages, frequently undergoes linguistic modifications. Through instant noodle advertisement texts, students study variations in meaning in television advertisements as part of their semantics education. The planning stage, the data gathering stage, the data analysis stage, and the research paper writing stage are the four phases of this study. The researcher studied the literature as part of the preparation phase. This was carried out in an effort to identify the theory that informed the research and broaden its scope. Documentation procedures were employed during the data collection phase of this investigation. The process of gathering data involved watching the Indomie instant noodle TV commercials that aired on YouTube between 2018 and 2020. Content analysis approaches were employed in the data analysis process to examine the shifts in meaning in these TV commercials. A methodical approach to examining the content of messages or handling messages is content analysis. The examination has to do with the language used in TV commercials. Following the collection of the television commercials, the instant noodle advertisement text was examined to determine the types and reasons for the meaning shifts.
