Global Warming: How Do We Know?

 The Earth's climate has changed trouhgout history. One of the biggest climate change is global warming. Most scientist agree that the main cause of  the current global warming human trend is expansion of the "Greenhouse Effect" - warming that the result when the atsmosphere traps heat radiating fro Earth toward space.   Certai gases in the atmosphere block heat from escaping. Long-lives gases that remain semi-permanently in the atsmosphere and do not respond phisically or chemically to changes in temperature are describe as " forcing" climate change. Gases, such us water vapor which respond physically and chemically  to changes in temperatures are seen as "feedbacks". Some gases that contribute to the greenhouse include : H2O, N2O,CH4, and CO2. On Earth, human activities are changing the natural greenhouse. Over the last century the burning fossil fuels like coal and oil has increased the concntration of atmospheric carbon dioxide CO2.

This happens because the coal or oil burning process combines carbon with oxygen in the air to make CO2. To a lesser extent, the clearing of land for agriculture, industry, and other human activities has increased concentrations of greenhouse gases. The consequences of this changing is the warmer temperature on Earth. And this condition will lead for bigger disaster in the Earth.

Change will continou through this century and beyond, the earth temperature will continou to rise, frost-free season(and growing season) will lengthen, changes in preciptation patterns, more drought and heat waves, and sea level will rise 1-4 feet by 2100.
