(Introduction)
In an increasingly competitive era of globalization, Islamic education faces major challenges in ensuring its relevance and competitiveness. Islamic education does not only rely on spiritual aspects, but also requires effective management strategies in order to compete with other education systems. Therefore, the management approach in Islamic education is very important to ensure its sustainability and progress. The Islamic education management approach covers various aspects, from strategic planning to efficient technical implementation. Some of the main approaches used in Islamic education management include the operational approach, the human behavior approach, the systems approach, and the quantitative approach. Each of these approaches has a significant contribution in creating a more organized and adaptive educational environment to the development of the times.
First, Basic Concept of the Islamic Education Management Approach; The Islamic education management approach aims to develop a more structured and effective system in managing Islamic-based education. This approach emphasizes strategic planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating to achieve educational goals that are in accordance with Islamic values. In practice, this approach not only focuses on administrative aspects but also on the management of human resources, infrastructure, and the influence of the global environment.
Second, Operational Approach in Islamic Education Management; The operational approach focuses on efficiency and productivity through standardization and optimization of resources. This concept is inspired by Frederick W. Taylor's scientific management which prioritizes improving quality and reducing waste. In Islamic education, this approach can be applied with standard-based curriculum management, utilization of technology in learning, and a more objective teacher and student performance evaluation system. The implementation of this approach will help Islamic educational institutions become more competitive in the global education world.
Third, Behavioral Approach in Islamic Education Management; The behavioral approach emphasizes the importance of understanding psychology and social dynamics in educational organizations. The Hawthorne Study proved that employee satisfaction and social interaction have a major impact on productivity. In the context of Islamic education, the application of this approach includes the welfare of educators, student-centered learning, and the creation of a learning environment that supports active involvement. By paying attention to emotional and social aspects, this approach encourages Islamic education to produce graduates who have academic and spiritual balance.
Fourth, Systems Approach and Quantitative Approach; The systems approach views Islamic educational institutions as an ecosystem consisting of various interacting elements. This concept allows educational institutions to adapt to changing times while maintaining Islamic values. Meanwhile, the quantitative approach relies on data and statistical analysis to improve managerial effectiveness. By applying quantitative models in resource management and measuring the effectiveness of educational programs, this approach ensures more accurate and evidence-based decision making.
Conclusion/Natijah
The Islamic education management approach that includes operational, behavioral, system, and quantitative aspects is very important to face the challenges of globalization. By adopting a structured and data-based strategy, Islamic education can increase its competitiveness in the international arena. Therefore, the implementation of these approaches is a must for every Islamic educational institution to continue to develop and contribute to creating a knowledgeable and moral society.
