In this era, many technological developments have sprung up, one of which is Television (TV). Television is one of the media that is very much in demand by all people, including Indonesians, from above or below, regardless of age. The reason is because TV is one of the media that is very easy to enjoy without time limitation. and various information, programs or entertainment to just entertain yourself are all available and broadcast on TV. However, the more advanced and sophisticated technology is not accompanied by monitoring and filtering of the information that will be digested by children.Â
As a result, it is not uncommon for young children to digest and receive information that they should not be able to capture. Call it what they watch on television screens, not a few who poison their innocent thinking with dating and love shows in school. As a result, many minors are familiar with the word "affection or love". and intercourse between the opposite sex.
A clear example of a program that can destroy the morale of young children is the soap opera "Ganteng-Ganteng Serigala (GGS)". which airs on the Indonesian TV station, namely the SCTV channel. The program shows on TV from 20:00 to 22:00 WIB every day on SCTV. This program is a drama genre, however, the program contains a lot of inappropriate or uneducative views on the soap operas GGS. such as hugging with the opposite sex, making out, and even kissing in front of the public while still wearing school uniforms, another example is that there is a scene of violence in this show where a scene is shown explicitly where a student in school uniform is punching one of his friends. which triggers and encourages children to imitate scenes that are very inappropriate to imitate because the children actually imitate what they see.
The theory that can be used from the above explanation is the theory of cognitivism which states that there are actual and objective truths and moral absolutes (we can make firm statements in one way or another about whether something is good or bad, right or wrong)
If viewed from the content, it also violates the laws and regulations of P3SPS, based on the rules of SPS Article 8 letter H, broadcasting institutions containing sexual scenes are prohibited from exploiting and / or displaying certain body parts such as: thighs, buttocks, breasts, close up. and / or medium shot. As well as other violations, the act of broadcasting violated the 2012 Indonesian Broadcasting Commission's Guidelines for Broadcasting Conduct Article 14 and Article 21 paragraph (1) as well as the 2012 Indonesian Broadcasting Commission's Broadcast Program Standards Article 15 paragraph (1), Article 16 paragraph (2) letter b and Article 37 paragraph (4) letter a. all of which are more or less about ethics that are against the values of education, science and ethics. Therefore, this program program should not be broadcast because it will be imitated by children who will destroy their own morals.
