People Are Allowed To Remove Masks Outdoors: Joko Widodo

Through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account, Mr. Joko Widodo stated that the Indonesian people have begun to be allowed not to use masks outdoors (05/17/2022). According to Mr. Joko Widodo, the public is allowed not to use masks because the Covid-19 case in Indonesia began to control. 

The President also emphasized that people who fall into the elderly and those who have diseases are still encouraged to wear masks when they are active. In addition, people who are not healthy are also encouraged to continue to wear masks when they are doing activities. 

The statement regarding the easing of masks received many responses from various levels of society, especially from workers and students. One of the students commented that this policy was the right step considering the current situation was getting under control and was the first step toward returning to normal. 

"It is good this policy, considering the current situation, which has begun to improve, is under control, so this can be the start of a normal life again." Said Muhammad Ferdiansyah, an active college student at UPN Veteran Jakarta

 

The community widely welcomed the policy to relax the rules for using masks because it has been two years that we have been in a condition haunted by the Covid-19 Virus, which could attack us at any time. And this can be used as the beginning of Indonesia's revival in the face of the Covid-19 Virus.
