On the riverbank, I was handed over to someone who also looked quite frightening. Covered in blood and seemingly with a broken leg, he appeared to have crawled to receive me rather than standing up to greet me, as he wasn't prepared.
After handing me over to the crawling uncle by the riverbank, the person who rescued me swam back to the middle of the river, where the bus body had submerged and was no longer visible from the bank.
