The Trend of Apartment

About 3 weeks ago I had a talk with my cousin in Indonesia and there’s an interesting thing that he shared to me. It’s apartment. Apartment!! Why apartment is interesting to me? Actually, it’s not about the apartment itself, but it’s about the Investment, Demand and Purchasing Power, Economic growth and TREND. I probably a little bit late about this, but I just want to share my thought. Looked at our economic growth, I have a very strong confidence on our economy and how the world look at Indonesia now is different. People see the opportunity for investment. I can say from the physical monetary and political standpoint Indonesia is going to the right direction (my personal opinion). Indonesia should be proud for what have been done in these last 5 years. To make it short, I will not talk about my opinion on the economy but what will happen in next 3 years?

Invest in apartment. From the graph below we can see that the trend of apartment in Indonesia is growing every year. Yes, healthy economic growth is indeed boost the income and purchasing power. So why apartment for investment? Firstly, because it is property. Look at Hongkong, China, Singapore and other countries, when the income is increased people will go for property. Meaning, the demand is there. Secondly, the installment . Be the first owner, buy the “idea”. Find an apartment with a good location and developer with a good reputation . The idea is buy from zero % and sell it when it’s 90% completed. It will not give you so much burden on installment. Thirdly, why apartment? because the trend is there. Don’t save it, Invest it!!
