Simple Past Tense (5)

Simple past tense adalah bentuk waktu sederhana di masa lampau. Jadi tindakan yang dilakukan telah selesai di masa lampau dan tidak ada kaitannya dengan masa sekarang.

1.Kegunaan:

a.Menyatakan perbuatan atau peristiwa yang sudah selesai dilakukan di masa lampau dengan waktu tertentu. Contoh: I went to Bali yesterday.

b.Menyatakan perbuatan atau peristiwa yang sudah selesai dilakukan di masa lampau dengan jelas meskipun waktunya tidak tertentu. Contoh: She washed her car.

c.Menyatakan kebiasaan di masa lampau. Contoh : When I was a boy, I always studied with my little friends at garden behind my home.

2. Rumus :

a.Kalimat Positif Verbal :

S (I/You/We/They)+ VII

S (He/She/It )+ VII

b.Kalimat Negatif Verbal :

S (I/You/We/They) + Did +Not+ VI

S (He/She/It )+ Did+ Not+VI

c.Kalimat Interogatif Positif Verbal :

Did + S (I/You/We/They) + VI

Did + S (He/She/It )+ VI

d.Kalimat Interogatif Negatif Verbal:

Did + Not + S (I/You/We/They) + VI

Did + Not + S (He/She/It )+ VI

e.Kalimat Positif Nominal :

S (I/You/We/They)+ To Be (was/were) + Complement

S (He/She/It )+ To Be (was/were) + Complement

f.Kalimat Negatif Nominal :

S (I/You/We/They) + To Be (was/were)+Not+ Complement

S (He/She/It )+ To Be (was/were)+Not+ Complement

g.Kalimat Interogatif Positif Nominal :

To Be (was/were) + S (I/You/We/They) + Complement

To Be (was/were) + S (He/She/It )+ Complement

h.Kalimat Interogatif Negatif Nominal :

To Be (was/were) + Not + S (I/You/We/They) + Complement

To Be (was/were) + Not + S (He/She/It )+ Complement
