What do European people like in spending their summer holiday? They are racing to find water and hot sun until cold weather say hey to them . Then spending a certain time to stay in a nice beach hotel; where you can scan the magnificent sea and sand for 24 hours, when you can do sun-bathing and swim just directly a few steps in front of your door's hotel, or when you could drone under a palm tree and read your outstanding books with waitress around to serve a cold drink, would be the most wanted-luxurious holiday, wouldn't it?.
What a fabulous life is, escaping from daily hectic life and stress just to amuse yourself doing nothing but relax. Like most of European people who put the option of going to the beach as the common choice, they would like to spend their summer holiday by spoiling themselves in the water and brightness. I think it is the wise choice since beach is always promising the beauty, serenity, excitement, amusement, mystery or sometime a challenge. You just get take one step to paradise.
Fling over a miles from Germany to a tropical country, my hometown, for me, was not only for visiting family and friends, but I tried to steal a little time for a real holiday with no hustle bustle of family programs and so far Beach is the best option that suit us. Indonesian, where I am coming from, has some beautiful beaches areas, as we may know that one of them is the fabulous Bali. We chosen Anyer Beach just because of location. This beach is relatively not too far from the capital city of Indonesian, where my family is living. With the distance around 160 km from Jakarta via toll road and affordable with land transportation for around 2.5 hours on the road (with a smooth traffic condition) made Anyer is always one which attract others.
Anyer is called as beach town in Banten, West Java. Hotel and Resource stretches for well over a kilometer. They provide tourist with various options from low class hotel till 5 stars international hotel standard. And it is up to you, how much budget you will locate to the hotel, but for sure budget will destine your comfort and coziness (money talk). The best thing from Anyer is every dot of tourist place having a panoramic ocean views with Geographically all beach area facing the west, so from some spots of beaches we would have a chance to see clearly the view of Mt. Rakata (the child of Mt. Krakatau that exploded in 1833). or we may drive to see the historical lighthouse from the legendary Krakatau mountain which stationed in Anyer.
During public holiday and new year, for some international hotel standard are very crowded. All rooms are occupied by overwhelming amount of either local or international tourist. On a good day (no raining) every grain of sand is covered with bodies, with crowds swelling into park and into nearby cafes or restaurant or street food seller. Swimming pool is loaded with uncountable bodies, like a huge amount of fishes swim in a small pond, which make them sometime have to bump each other in order to get spare space. In any case we may meet bunch of groups of companies with full of gathering program such as meeting, training or family gathering. In this season I could criticize these resources are being too busy and too touristy. I could see beach as a sea of frenzy as parties take place, loud and louder.
Therefore, we liked to drive against a communal tradition by visiting Anyer during low season and on the week-day only instead of week-end. It went against the people's crowd and busy traffic when we arrived in Anyer on Monday and back home before Friday.
