Commuting Train

by Median Mutiara

I, amongst the commuting people, am muting myself. A body-sized space is making me powerless and helpless. Suddenly, fresh smell of original Bvlgari is turning on my sleepy head.

From the smell and the folded collar says "Guess", I know that the lady there is, at least, a manager. Her mini skirt and white blazer are still slick, although standing people are tightly pressing her. She does not care... and who will?

The windows are indifferently playing the background like a kaleidoscope. It seems like never ending, and outside is raining. The drops on the windows are making graffiti, depicting the abstraction of the living things inside this aluminum box--which is about 10 years ago made in Japan. No one cares, as long as he or she can breathe, and the train goes to the right direction.

These people live outside the hurly-burly, but impressively, they spend more time in the city of crazed vehicles. I do not know what is on their mind. I do not know what they are looking for in this insane routine… or routine insanity? And me, what I am heading for too? Clinging to a dream is like clutching to the handles. We are all afraid of faltering and falling.

But, no… no... I can make myself standing, without hanging on a thing, even when this bungling aluminum box is bumping while shifting its lane. Do you know the secret?

First, open your legs a little--as it is impossible to have a space. Then, bend one of your legs or two. Feel your legs as springs, follow the rhythm of the notion and feel the bending elasticity. Concentrate on the balance, but supple your legs on this position. You see... You can stand without the handle. This is the art of riding this box.

And it is almost the same as undergoing this life, sometimes you need to be very brave to know that you can stand on your own. Find the aesthetic techniques of a better living!

Back in to the box,

Honestly, without hanging on the handles sometimes make my legs cramped. So, I must unbend one of my leg, sliding it in the 5 inches space between someone's feet. I am not worried. This is a usual cramp. Some people are also altering their position.
