Actually, I majored in marketing and I have a bachelor of science. Wanda Sykes
Simply laughing at my loudest when I read this quotation from one site. True true. Everyone can sell. Not only me, who got trapped in this marketing business in about 1 year. Crap! I graduated from English Literature! :p Not only Apple that can have such abundant real marketing people all over the world, the best and the worst, but you too. Each person definitely has that innate selling soul, I can say. Babies: they do sell! See how those proud parents are showing them around to their neighbours, relatives, “promoting” their “little cute work” to everyone that they meet. Those babies got their first buyer when one stranger walk closer and pinch their plum cheek and say, “how adorable you are!” Girls on his teen: never stop selling. Mini skirt, laces, sweet parfume, pink hairband, matching sneakers or ballet flats, nearly everything just to get hitted by the most famous boy in their school. And those nerds, they sell their homeworks, great presentations, and good score. A job seeker finally, sell their GPA, their leadership experience, their smart answer to those tricky questions of the user, and their salary expectation. There is one thing that I can be sure. Without even realizing, all of us sell. People sell to make them be recognized. To state themselves into the beginning society, to leave a little mark, to sign their name on somebody else’s life. But, now, the fact is: many people hate the word “sales”. They often thought that “sales” is not a good job. They do think that a sales person is a kind of job that doesn’t really need a “brain”. Some of them even say “Don’t trust a sales person. They are definitely liars.” Well, that’s a social construction. Everyone has their own opinion. There are many tipes of a sales person and doesn’t take a long time for me to decide which one is bullshit and which one is a mannered-type. Some sales person is just so irritating, yes. It would make me walk out the store if I didn’t have to buy that product! They are not friendly and they are all make a sale without giving proper advice to the customer. Good sales person is exceptionally well-mannered with all of those professional advices. They sell with a brain, and this is a high-class job. They put a smooth strategy on it and when it works, their client will find it so hard to change side to another competitor. A good sales person is able to distinguish between a customer who knows about the product they are buying and the ones who have no clue and need help. A great sales person is a hardworker with a class....
You can’t expect to just write and have visitors come to you – that’s too passive (Anita Campbell – Founder of smallbiztrends.com)
Yeah, they never stop selling. They go around, selling their goods, they keep promoting and always try their best in persuading. Since every second counts. Miss one second and boom! A competitor win the battle. It is a matter of perseverance, a matter of consistency. We are all born as a sales person, though some people has more persuading gift than the rest. Marketing is above all of that sweet talkers, all of those trashy promotion. Marketing is all about the quality given. Because after all, if the product is bad or doesn’t live up the customer expectation, there will be no satisfaction, no benefit for both sides.
