Education becomes important for the progress of a nation. Every child has the right to have the same opportunity to study at school, regardless of status, religion, ethnicity, race, or certain groups. This has been regulated in the law on education article 31 paragraph 1 which states that "every citizen has the right to education".
Children with special needs or individuals who have physical, mental, emotional, intellectual and social limitations are different from normal children in general. Over time, education for children with special needs is still lacking attention. Educational institutions that are suitable for children with special needs are in Extraordinary Schools.
MIAN NU LIPUKNYO is an Extraordinary Integrated Nature School located in Tandalo Hills, Dataran Bintang East Luwuk, established by Mr. H. Mustar Labolo, the Vice Head District of Banggai in 2018,  to optimize the abilities of children with special needs so that they can be developed properly. This school is managed by the Labolo Education Center Foundation, chaired by Mrs. ST.Rahmawati Labolo, SE, M.Ap.
To run the learning process smoothly and optimally in an Extraordinary Schools  for children with special needs,  appropriate teaching methods are needed.
The Vision of the SLB MIAN NU LIPUKNYO is: Â To develop quality human resources through special education and services for children with special needs in remote indigenous and pre-prosperous communities on religion, independency, love the environment and preserve nature
The Mission are : To develop students' life skills, explore and develop talent management, spirit of entrepreneurship, environmental friendly and nature preservation, strengthen intellectual, spiritual and emotional intelligence.
Educating children with special needs is not easy to do. Needed a high level of patience, sincere affection, well understand the psychology of children, have special skills to optimize growth and development of children with special needs as well. Â
 The applied nature school curricula of MIAN NU LIPUKNYO is oriented towards creating independent generations, vocational or life skill training, talent maps as the basis for developing talents and potential of students, learning to appreciate more, teaching friendship and the concept of the universe and local potential as the best laboratory in learning.
The nature based school in an area of 7 hectares contains 1500 fruit trees, out of the plan of 3000 trees, not only clean the air but also create jobs, save water and the fruit can be enjoyed at any time.Â
Various skills related to nature, plantation and daily life are taught in this integrated nature school that can be useful for students.  Hopefully this school can  continuously develop  to help many children with special needs which usually have talents that are not possessed by normal children in general.Â
