Last week I left you with a question that is “Do you want to be humbled?”
But first let’s see the difference between a character of being a Boss and a Servant. A Boss would be someone who is not humble, wants to be understood, listen to and think that he or she is more important than others. This kind of person will usually not to recognize God’s sovereignty so that he or she is not willing to put God as his or her ruler to be obeyed, instead they will regard themselves to be god. Someone with A Boss character is not a Leader. A servant character however is someone who is humble so that he or she thinks that others are more important than himself or herself, they will usually respect others, and put God as his or her ruler to be obeyed, since he or she recognizing God’s sovereignty. A person with a servant character shall be a Great Person and Leader.
We can see around us on a day to day life experience. Let just see one of a simple example to describe the difference between the two characters above. When we see on the road on how people drive and how they appreciate other by following the traffic rules, we can easily see the difference of the character of being a boss or a servant. Those people who are following the traffic rules are those who think that other people are more important than himself or herself. A pedestrian who is crossing the road on the zebra cross or using the pedestrian crossing bridge, has shows that he or she respect other people more. Those other people are those who have build the facilities for crossing the road for pedestrians, people who make the traffic rules and other people who use the road as public facilities.
Imagine when everyone has an attitude and morality of being a servant. This country would change to be a better place and I believe that this country will indeed to be a GREAT Country.
From this we can see that it’s not difficult to be a great person if only one would want to be humbled. To be humbled is to let God to be the king of our life and let His Greatness shines within and through us.
I suppose this is the key to change one’s life, future and the future and life of a country, a world and for the next generation to live.
However, it’s not easy to have our own strength to have that kind of humble servant character. Why?
The writer will give the answer through her Christianity background. The answer is because the fallen angles’ way of thinking has been poison our way of thinking and it has power over us all. So what would be the cure for this? The cure for this is the blood of Jesus to fix the broken relationship to our God and the power of His resurrection from the death. Our old character has to die and get a new life. The power of Jesus resurrection is what will make us come out as a winner and be a Great Person.
