Walking along in Kerinci area, talking with people and one day I found this story. Â this story is one of stories that is showing that in the past people and tiger live coexist. Human create stories to make people feel thankfull to have tiger around their area. Check this outLong time ago, there is agreement between people and tigers. This agreement is between our ancestor (Nenek) with the tiger.
Once upon time a tiger caught a bird and ate the bird. The tiger ate whole part of the bird. Accidentally, bird’s beak was swallowing in tiger throat and make tiger can’t breathe.  The Tiger was panic.  tiger tried tried to kick out the beak from it throat but the tiger failed.  After many time tried and tried, the tiger lost his energy and just lay down in the forest floor.  Our ancestor (Nenek) at the moment walking in forest and found the tiger so weak.  Nenek then came close to the tiger and tiger cant do anything. Nenek feel sorry to the tiger. With Nenek ability, nenek can communicate with the tiger.  From the communication heart to heart with the tiger, Nenek came to know that there was the bird beak inside the tiger throat.  Then Nenek help the tiger to take that bird beak. Finally, after sometime the beak came out from the tiger’s throat. But the tiger was still so weak. Nenek was there and waiting for the tiger until it recover.  Because of this kindness, the tiger feel so thankful to our ancestor.  Then tiger made promise that tiger will help grandchild of Nenek if they lost in the forest by guiding them to find a way to go home
