I am a Budding Tree
By Leni Marlina
In the heart of the wild, where wisdom reigns,
I am the elephant, with memory's chains,
Rivers of knowledge flow through my stride,
Guiding me where the forests of learning abide.
Among the trees, where sunlight gently weaves,
I am the chimpanzee, in the knowledge's leaves,
Fruits of understanding hang in the verdant maze,
In my mind's canopy, my teacher's wisdom stays.
Beneath the waves, where the ocean's secrets gleam,
I am the dolphin, in the depths of a dream,
Echoes of lessons, tales of truth and the sea,
In the ocean's embrace, my teacher's guidance sets me free.
In the deep, dark silence of the ocean's might,
I am the orca, in the wisdom's light,
Hunting stories whispered, echoes of grace,
In my heart's ocean, my teacher's lessons I embrace.
Above the skies, where dreams soar and fly,
I am the eagle, in the city's lore so high,
Faces remembered, in the urban sprawl,
In my wings' horizon, my teacher's guidance calls.
In the garden, where blooms dance and bloom,
I am the bee, in nature's sweet perfume,
In the dance of life, where harmony's complete,
In my pollen's journey, my teacher's lessons sweet.
In the clean and clear water, where light dances and plays,
I am the fish, in the nights and days,
In the pond's reflection, lessons gleam,
In my scales' shimmer, my teacher's dreams redeem.
In lines that weave through earth's gentle hold,
I am the ant, in a colony bold,
Paths remembered, in earth's warm embrace,
In my trails' tapestry, my teacher's lessons trace.
In my parents' hearts, I am the brightest star,
A beacon of hope, shining from afar,
Their love surrounds me, a protective light,
Guiding my steps, through day and night.
